We are holed up inside for another day, I have managed to get sick again, and poor Billy has landed the chicken pox, after we thought he had been lucky enough that those few spots he had a year or so ago had given him immunity. Not so, and the poor boy already has many more spots than Edie had with hers. (Possibly being breastfed still offered her a little of my immunity). But I noticed a few spots on Billy's neck upon arriving at kindy today, and after a quick tummy check (covered all over, missed that because I just chucked a t-shirt on over the thermal he wore in bed), whisked him right away. Which led to a diabolical shopping trip, as Edie and I were already planning to get groceries and Father's Day present for Granddad, so we all went together and Billy was not pleased at all about the change in his plans. Poor baby is really uncomfortable already at Day One, and he can expect up to seven days of it getting worse before it gets better.
So I am watching a YouTube tutorial - a speed drawing of an eye, as you see here is my rendition. I really need a better charcoal pencil I think, which smudges better with an eraser. The pierre noire I am using just is a little more permanent than I need, and also the eraser is out of a Cars art set and I found it outside falling to pieces in the barbeque. So it's a little lack for quality ingredients, but all in all I'm OK with it. I hope I can make a whole face like this!
Now I am going to tidy up, do the dishes, brush my teeth and go to bed, and watch an episode of Girls I have already seen, and then try to get as much sleep as possible before tomorrow, which I think, for sanitys sake will be a movie day. Friends, If you have had the pox and are at a loose end, feel free to join us.
