100 Days Project

jeni: A scribble a day and things/people I love

A series of small sketches with watercolour wash, to see how good I can get at it after 100 days of practice. I started a while ago and for a few days I had gusto and enthusiasm, but as with previous hobbies, once I started being critical and disappointed, I lost confidence and stopped bothering. I might add a journal entry here and there, but for the most part it will be the pencil and the watercolour. I am looking forward to the discipline that commitment - to the 100 Days Project - brings out in me. I have way better staying power with a bit of a push.

Day 3:

Just chillin’

Another pencil sketch and no watercolour. I started it this morning and finished it later on but worried and fussed over the detail so I lost sight of what I was trying to achieve, which was a quick sketch with definition but not too much detail. Try again tomorrow! I found a charcoal pencil...

It is Billy watching TV with his special sunnies. He loves his special things.

Had a very lovely day, caught up with my friend Lauren who I haven't seen for an age, and then the girls went out for coffee and cake at the Catalina while the boys stayed home and played producer. Got home to find Billy totally digging the virtual mixer. Rad. And Edie loved her time out being a lady.

Love my family! And this feeling of contentment. Must remember to look for and feel it every moment of every day. xoxox
