100 Days Project

Suzanne: 100 Things I Like About Living In New Zealand

I emigrated here with my family four years ago from the UK.

We have had a lot of ups and downs and I think it would be really positive to take a photo every day of things that both myself and my kids love about living in New Zealand, and that we wouldn't have in London. They will probably be the most trivial of things to Kiwis, but to us they are great.

I am not the world's best photographer but will be snapping photos on my phone and using Instagram to improve them!

Day 19:

Sporting Opportunities

Child number two is set to try out every sport available here in New Zealand, even ones we have never heard of in the UK (flippaball). Currently being a goalie in hockey is flavour of the month, but I am sure as soon as her favourite colour changes from orange she will move on to another sport. Needless to say, hopefully it will keep her out of trouble as she turns from a tween to a teen. I could be wrong, but unless she would have been one of the lucky few to attend private school in the UK that she would never have had the opportunity to try such diverse sports as are available to all here.
