Suzanne: 100 Things I Like About Living In New Zealand

I emigrated here with my family four years ago from the UK.

We have had a lot of ups and downs and I think it would be really positive to take a photo every day of things that both myself and my kids love about living in New Zealand, and that we wouldn't have in London. They will probably be the most trivial of things to Kiwis, but to us they are great.

I am not the world's best photographer but will be snapping photos on my phone and using Instagram to improve them!

Day 13:

Off Street Parking

It's the little things that matter the most - and oh boy this little thing matters. Off-street parking! Who would have thought that such a silly thing could be so joyous! No longer do I stress about if I dare take the car out will I be able to park it within 100 metres of my house with 10 bags of shopping and two little cherubs to carry in. Of course the little cherubs have turned in to tweens who can now get themselves into the house (and the shopping too, if the mood takes them). But the novelty of being able to park in front of my own garage, on my drive, four years on, still hasn't worn off.
